The questions that come before a first order
Straight answers, including the ones that cost us an order. If something here contradicts what a salesperson told you, this page is the version we stand behind.
Ordering
Can I order by the part number I already use?
Yes. That is the normal way to start. Send the Fleetguard, Baldwin, Donaldson, MANN, Hengst or OEM number and we reply with our equivalent, its full specification and the price. The cross-reference search on this site covers the numbers we have already verified.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Filters start at a few hundred pieces per item for a trial order; the exact figure is on each item page. Lubricants start at one pallet, or a single 200 L drum. Mixed containers are accepted, so several references and both product lines can share one shipment.
Do you supply samples?
Yes. For a new reference we send one or two pieces before the first bulk order. Samples are charged at the unit price plus courier cost; the courier cost is credited against your first order.
Can I mix filters and lubricants in one container?
Yes, and it usually lowers the freight per unit. Filters are light and bulky, oils are heavy and dense. Loaded with oil drums as base weight and cartons filling the top space, a mixed container carries more value than either line alone.
What if the number I send is not equivalent to what you have?
We say so. You will get "closest match, not confirmed equivalent" with the differences listed — usually a different thread detail, a different bypass setting or a different height. We would rather lose the order than ship a filter that does not seat.
Technical
How do I know a cross-reference is correct?
A number is only published on this site after the outside diameter, thread, height and micron rating have been checked against the original. Where a specification differs, it is stated on the item page instead of being hidden.
Which micron rating should I choose for fuel filtration?
Common-rail systems need 4–5 µm with water separation; older inline pump systems run 10–20 µm. Going finer than the system needs shortens service intervals without protecting anything extra. Tell us the engine family and we will specify it.
Do you supply MSDS and TDS for lubricants?
Yes, with every lubricant quotation and every shipment. The MSDS is in English and follows the 16-section format. The TDS carries the property table: viscosity index, flash point, pour point, base oil and approvals.
Can you match an existing oil specification?
Yes, if you send the product data sheet or the label of the oil you use now. We confirm which of our products meets the same API and ACEA sequence, and state any difference in base oil or approval list.
Are the specifications on this site verified for every production batch?
The published specification is the nominal specification for the reference. Batch testing reports are available on request for lubricants; for filters, dimensional checks are made at production and reported if you require it.
Payment, price and documents
What are your payment terms?
30% T/T deposit, 70% against B/L copy; L/C at sight. For repeat customers with a history, other terms can be discussed in writing before the order.
Which incoterms do you quote?
FOB Shenzhen / CIF / CFR. FOB is the default when you have your own forwarder; CIF and CFR are quoted when you give us the destination port.
What documents come with a shipment?
Commercial invoice, packing list with carton-level detail, bill of lading, certificate of origin, and MSDS / TDS or specification sheets where relevant. Insurance certificate is added on CIF terms.
Are prices fixed?
A quotation is firm for the validity period stated on it, normally 15 days for filters. Lubricant prices follow base oil movement and are marked accordingly. Nothing is re-priced after an order is confirmed.
Is there a price break for larger quantities?
Yes. Pricing is volume-banded, usually at pallet and container levels. Send the annual volume as well as the first order quantity — the annual figure is what determines the band.
Shipping and lead time
How long is production?
15–30 days after deposit, depending on quantity. Private label runs are longer because of the printed proof stage, typically 20–30 days after sample approval.
Can you ship LCL?
Yes. LCL works well for a first trial order or for a mixed reference list. We will tell you when the LCL freight per unit is so high that waiting for a full container is the cheaper decision.
Who handles customs clearance at my end?
Your broker, with the document set we issue. If your broker needs a specific certificate format or a pre-alert layout, send the requirement with the order and it is prepared that way.
What happens if goods arrive damaged?
Send photographs of the carton, the pallet and the item in the first message. Claims are assessed against the pre-shipment photographs we issue before the balance is paid, which is why that step is not optional.
Private label
What is the minimum for private label?
One pallet per reference, typically 500–1,000 pieces depending on carton size, and one pallet of pails or a drum for lubricants. Artwork to printed proof is 5–7 days; production after approval is 20–30 days.
Do I need a trademark authorisation?
To print a third-party brand, yes — a registration certificate or a signed authorisation letter. To print your own brand, no, but we ask for evidence that the mark is yours so the cartons are not stopped at export.
Can labels be in Arabic or Vietnamese?
Yes, multilingual labels are routine. Send the approved translation. We do not translate regulated text ourselves unless asked, and when we do, it is checked by a native speaker before printing.
Still unanswered?
Ask directly. Technical questions go to the person who builds the specification, not to a call centre.
