Shipping and lead times
How filters and lubricants are packed, loaded, documented and shipped — and what the realistic timing looks like from deposit to arrival.
Packing
- Filters. Double-wall cartons, quantity per carton stated on each item page. Palletised and stretch-wrapped, with shipping marks applied unless you ask us to leave them neutral.
- Lubricants. 200 L drums, 18–20 L pails, 4 L and 1 L bottles, 18 kg pails and 400 g cartridges. Drums are loaded upright and braced; pails are palletised in layers with cardboard separators.
- Mixed loads. Oil as base weight, filter cartons filling top space. This is the arrangement that makes a mixed container cheaper per unit than two separate shipments.
Freight modes
| Mode | When it makes sense | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| LCL | Trial orders, 1–12 CBM | Consolidated at origin; freight per unit is highest here |
| 20' FCL | ~28 CBM of filters, or mixed filters and oils | The default for a repeat order |
| 40' FCL | Light, bulky filter cartons only | Weight limit binds before volume with oil in the load |
| Air | Urgent samples and small high-value parts | Only when the downtime cost exceeds the freight |
Lead time
Standard production is 15–30 days after deposit, depending on quantity. Private label runs are 20–30 days after printed sample approval, because the proof stage sits in front of production. Lead time is counted from the later of: deposit received, or artwork approved.
Documents issued per shipment
- Commercial invoice and packing list with carton-level detail
- Bill of lading, original or telex release as agreed
- Certificate of origin (CO, Form A or Form E where applicable)
- MSDS and TDS for lubricants; specification sheets for filters
- Insurance certificate on CIF terms
- Pre-shipment photographs of cartons, marks and the pallet build
Tracking and updates
You receive a production photograph set before the balance is requested, the booking confirmation with vessel and estimated departure, and the document copies once the B/L is issued. If a sailing is rolled by the carrier, you are told the same day we are.
Damage and shortage
Inspect before signing the delivery receipt where the destination allows it. If the cartons are visibly damaged, note it on the carrier's document and photograph the pallet before unloading. Claims are assessed against the pre-shipment photographs we issued; notify us within 7 days of arrival at the port.
Destinations we ship to regularly
Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia), the Middle East (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Iraq), Africa (Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, Egypt, South Africa) and Latin America. If your port is not on that list, it is a question of routing rather than capability — send the port and we will quote it.
